Continuing research is a very important aspect of mosquito control for the Collier Mosquito Control District. Because of this, the CMCD has two full time employees whose primary function is research. The mission of the Research Department is to study ways to improve existing mosquito control methods, or develop new ones, in order to protect the health and welfare of District residents, while minimizing the impact on the environment.
